Our Dráček Nursery School in Brno provides full pre-school education for children generally aged between 2 and 6. Our aim is to assure that the children are enthusiastic and actively enjoy their day in the nursery school, and that parents are satisfied in that they can do their jobs in the assurance that their children are being very well looked after.

We take an individual approach to the needs of every family. The capacity of the nursery school is around 45 children, who are divided up into three classes (Lvíčata, Dráčata a Tygřata – Lions capacity 22 children,, Dragons capacity 18 children and Tigers capacity 12 children).

One advantage for parents is that we are strategically located in the centre of Brno, easily accessible from the outskirts of the city both by car and by public transport.

SCHOOL

Our Dráček kindergarten curriculum is based on the Framework Curriculum of the Ministry of Education for pre-school education, enriched with elements of Waldorf pedagogy and the Step by Step - Start Together programme, before mathematical education is developed using the Hejný method.

THE CHILDREN'S GROUP OF LION DRAGON TIGERS

The children's group programme follows the methodology for the development of children in children's groups and the 329/2021 Act on Children's Groups and emphasises the development of key competences of pre-school children.

All three playgroups work closely together, attend clubs together, go on trips together and go to the theatre together. The daily programme of the children's groups includes: English language, the possibility of communication in a language other than Czech (English, Spanish, French, German, Polish), creative play, development of key competences and motivation to prepare children to enter primary school, art and music activities, manual activities developing logical and operational thinking, speech therapy prevention, physiotherapy prevention, development of psychomotor skills, Hejny's mathematics and more.
